- Select three words: one representing the present moment, another summarizing 2023, and the third expressing your aspirations for 2024.
- Write down the reasons behind your word choices.
- Place the paper in your lap, close your eyes, and meditate on these words, contemplating any associated emotions.
Exploration of Intentions
- On three separate sheets of paper, write the phrases “I LOVE,” “I HOPE,” and “I CHOOSE TO LET GO OF.”
- Dedicate 5 minutes to each heading, jotting down thoughts and feelings associated with these actions.
- For the “I CHOOSE TO LET GO OF” sheet, read it aloud, dispose of it in the fire, or cut it up with scissors, symbolizing release.
Moving Forward with Intentions
- On the reverse side of your “I HOPE” list, compose a brief letter to yourself encapsulating your aspirations.
- Place this letter and the three words representing your wishes for 2024 in an envelope. Seal it, and commit to opening it next New Year.
