Just 15 minutes North of Asheville lies the quaint town of Weaverville which encompasses a main street, along with more rural outlying areas of Reems Creek Valley. This area is known as a family-oriented community, with events and activities hosted at increasingly popular indoor and outdoor venues throughout the year. Various restaurants, art studios, and boutique stores line the one street downtown. Weaverville also has all the modern amenities such a Walmart, Lowes, groceries, and fast food.
At the much anticipated Weaverville Art Safari, which is hosted for 2 days every Spring and Fall, local artists open up their studios and homes to admirers and shoppers!
Well Bred Bakery is a bustling hot spot whose menu includes a variety of specialty coffee drinks, sandwiches, and salads. They are particularly known for their huge assortment of sweets and cookies the size of your head! If you’re craving a beer, Eluvian Brewing makes its home in this small town. Head a mile south of town to Stoney Knob Cafe, to savor their unique menu and enjoy an eclectic setting which includes different themed “rooms.”
The directly surrounding neighborhoods of Weaverville are coveted for their large, tree lined city lots and ability to walk to the quaint shops of the town. Further out, Weaverville includes areas that feel more suburban and rural. Reems Creek Valley is especially beautiful as it is flanked by farms and houses with large lots on each side, and a creek running through the valley.
Weaverville’s really got a little bit of everything, and you’re just a short drive to Asheville if you desire a more “Big City” feel!
